calcium reactor choices

im in the process of setting up my 150 gal sps tank

i was wondering what i shoudl run for a calcium reactor.

the tank is 150 gal with 35 gal fuge/ 35 gal sump/ and 65 gal frag tank.

it seems for me i have trouble firing the bulbs...

it seems for me i have trouble firing the bulbs dimmed at lowest setting. about 175

i also heard thart dimming them reduces the life of the bulb

anyone else have this problem?

could the lip or splash guard cauze problems?
