A mag 7 is definately not enough flow IMO. Since your budget is small but your sump is descent size for that size tank I would recommend replacing the mag with a rio hyperflow 32 or a quietone 5000...

Different size helps too. I had a flame and a CB in a 75 hex that I put in at the same time, left the light off for a full day and had luck. AS with most fish combinations it is luck of the draw......

If you do have a powder brown they are a very schetchy fish... constantly swimming and they need alot of space (not too much rock work) or they will get sick and die. Very similar to a powder blue...
