My bad, thought it was a 75 and you were using the 29 for the sump. Not sure why I put .05 instead of 0.5...but 0.5 would be what I really meant.
For a 29 gallon tank, I'd do a 5 - 10 gallon...

I think 3 MJ 900's (260 gph?)would give you about 20x's turnover. The 900's are the most energy efficient, but you could also go with 3 MJ 1200's (295 gph?) which would give you around 23x's...
