how crushed is it? my only problem with using crushed coral is that the copepods and the sand critters didnt like it too much , so i eventually got more copepods on the glass than in the substrate

i went about a year without any water change and my fish and corals were healthy throughout... i think my tank just found a balance and was doing very well on its own..

using that big of a chiller in a small setup...

using that big of a chiller in a small setup might be overkill, it might be ok for your tank but you might shorten the life of the chiller.. The compressor would be coming on and off more frequently...
