You don't want to use water from the main tank to do water changes on the qt. All you are doing is giving the ich a possibility to reinfect the fish....

I would check for a predator as oldschooldino...

I would check for a predator as oldschooldino sugessts and then cut off the bad part and discard. Toadstools are pretty hardy and it should heal just fine... I have done it to mine a couple of times...

You cand only wire the ballasts to run all bulbs at once. There is no way that I know of the run them seperate, You can get a dimmer for it though...

They do not need to be target fed. I have had mine for over 4 years now and have never fed it once. They filter the water and there should be more than enough food in the water column for them...

I have a yellow ey Kole in my 75 and he is doing...

I have a yellow ey Kole in my 75 and he is doing wonderful. Pretty active fish but very shy at first.. Loves hair algae so no problems there. Also is very peacful with other fish.

You could also get an Amiracle overflow box. I have run mine for 4 years with no problems. They are built very sturdy just like the lifereef for almost 1/2 the cost.....

I agree,

If water quality and lighting are met they will stay put. I had 3 rose bubble tips and they never moved until I sold them.....

I just ended up selling my carpet.... He was very nice...
