If zeo was'nt so expensive I would think about it.

it's because you likely have sodium bi-carbonate (standard baking soda) which is less soluable.

You can bake sodium bi-carbonate to make sodium carbonate.

OR you can purchase sodium carbonate...

Have patience and cook the rock. Thats my vote. That way when you get some pest algae you won't be kicking yourself...

The tip has recessed a little bit. Coral looks healthy though. In good conditions it should not be a problem and regrow. If it's gets worse...think of fraggin.

How exactly did you check to see if it was not bleached? If you received it bleached there is no way of checking.

Think about it.....the only difference is in a larger tank the missing elements are not a big deal because there are more available.
