Question Is there such a thing as coral bioload?

We've all talk about keeping fish bioload down so I'm just curious if there is an effect of having a tank that is highly populated with corals?
I was just wondering, do coral produce waste?

The favia was good for a while but over the past 2 or 3 months, it seems to have been more aggressive....
