your tank will only drain what you put back after you reach equilibrium. You can drain less than the "drain volume" by returning less gph to the main tank.

You might want to consider where next to keep your Niger Trigger and the Snowflake Eel when they grow up. The Trigger can get up to 12" and the Eel may grow up to 3'. Be aware that eels are messy...

I usually feed everything else first so I can get the anemone fed without the other inhabitants bothering it. I include a samll piece or two of shrimp for my shrimp to gfight over.
