Do you have any Maxi-jet powerheads laying around? If so, you could buy one of the mod kits (SureFlow, Gulf Stream II, EcoMod, etc.) and that would be perfect for mixing saltwater. LOTS of flow!

Yes, the white propeller is the high-flow prop and will only work with a MJ1200. I have 4 of these going in my 220 and they're awesome!!!

Have you tried pushing down the carpet in all the areas between the closet and the tank? It definitely sounds like there's water getting out from somewhere and you should be able to find the leak's...
