as for the 55 gallon, I think 1 modded maxijet 1200 would be plenty.ive got one on my 75 gallon refugium and it pounds the heck...

I would guess , mine has alway spun corectly. this mod is a little differen't than some of the others because the propeller isn't glued on, instead a new shaft was made in a machine shop.don't know...

because these use a propeller type shaft it pushes well over 295gpg, I would say its over 1200gph. it compairs to my tunze6100 for flow. id be so bold to say perhaps 2400gph.
