Many zoas or mushrooms don't mind low light at all. I had some discosoma neglecta [shrooms] which survived the cycle and grew like crazy...

I'd get a cannister filter and load a 1-micron cartridge in there and suck anything larger than 1 micron out. That might at least restore it to gray.

All the corals you name as dying are softies: your lights and calcium are friendly to stony corals like your candycane, but many softies don't like mh light.

Organisms may slime a bit and throw off any kalk that settled on them. Re adding buffer or carbon at this point, go very, very slowly, by half doses. Remember that some of this effect is transient...
