You can order from Euroreef or go to a hardware store and get an O-ring. I have one skimmer with a missing O-ring hasn't cause a problem so I haven't bothered.

go easy with the paint scraper. It will scratch glass....Been there done that. I use the Kent Pro Scrapper with metal bland. The ss blade is more flexable then the paint scraper and doesn't rust.
