yea i suppose it will. if you can pull the rocks out and just try to grab the little stalks on the botton of each bubble. its time consuming but you can remove it that way. i know i spent 4 hours one...

if you let it get big it will kinda have a "stalk" on the bottom. you can grab that with a pair of tweezers without bursting the bubbles. thats the only way i've had any luck manually removing them....

i had a tank full of that stuff added a yellow tang now its completely gone. i don't think the "goo" will hurt anything but letting that stuff go in your tank will make it spread like wild-fire.
