Surface algae, lots of it.. Need some advice!

My tank just turned about 3 months old. It has a Yellow Tang, Royal Gramma, 2 Gold Stripe Maroon clowns.

It's a 75, megaflow with a 40g sump, EuroReef RS100.

I've never, ever had algae problems...

Do people put snails and/or crabs in the fuge to sift the sand for any purpose?
