Rustoleums are the ones of choices but not the only one...
Regal Blue-----------Or Gloss Black which looks flat on the glass ....Just seems to hold better then the flat when water hits it latter...

I like black it just gives Endless depth to the Background for me .I also had to scrape that blue backing continously to keep it looking clean.....Always found my self running down to the tank room...

Starving them is Probably How there done in.To think we used to keep hundreds of them Conchs in wet burlap bags for days out of water before selling them back in the day proves there rugged little...

You see the Conch and the other half of that rock is a big old Mexican covered in Corline I use a rock thats big enough to not get carried of by something or current.
Don't use a clip as it alows...

If your tank can't support there dietary needs as most don't that are run cleanly,you need to supplement with feeding.
