pH panic

I accidentally overdosed on a pH buffer and my readings are showing that it is about 8.5 . I usually try to keep it at 8.1. Should I go crazy trying to add fresh water or will it right itself?

Thanks. The xenias were from two sources and it did seems that the one type did better than the other. I've always added iodine so I don't think that is the problem.
