so what is the point here? your way adds an extra pump that could easily do covered with the design he has, which also uses the "dirty" water in the fuge which is better then using the "polished"...

I have abotu 2" bed in my 120, can sand be added once the tank is fully set up and running, or will adding some (maybe 10-20lb a week or even monthly) cause a harmful cycle on my sestem?

newb with lots of questions

I have aquired lots of tanks and equipment, and even some live stock. I currently have the livestock in 2- 30 gal tanks and all seems good. (2 weeks now)
