What about phosfates? Would it be effective to mix up some rowaphos or other phosfate binding material to the sand? When dooing this the sand must be changed out more frequently I guess

But I've tested it in a 250 gallon tank. In holland there is also one running in a zootank 250.000 gallons!

Thanks Sofar I only had hi PO4 but with some rowaphos I'm looking at 0.4 ppm at the moment. I use a lot off carbon and luckelly sofarno detectable nitrates.

:D Hopefully I'll also learn from my mistakes. My new tank (I'm moving) is also goiing to be set up around that time (sept/oct) and will be 750 gallons non photosyntetic only!
