well i want most my flow to come from the returns and I have seen a 180 gallon with a 30 long sump/fuge run two 1200's for the past year or so. so I didnt see a problem with my 120 on a 40 gallon...

you will want to remove all barbs and the sharp part of the hook... a hook will tear up a trout or bass well i dont even want to know what it would do to a clownfish....
