Instead of tearing your new light apart why not use some netting to slowly acclimate your corals to the new lighting setup? It would take several weeks but atleast your lights would still be in one...

Give Formula1 mixed with PrimeReef a try. Both can be found at most LFS at a very reasonable price. They are frozen so you will have to thaw them out before you feed.

GE 1 silicone for windows&doors is safe to use. It comes in blue and silver tube. You can get it anywhere even at Walmart. I used it to put the baffles in my sump and so far no problems.

I'm running the same setup and cant agree more. A 20 works fine but if I had to do it over again I'de go 30 or larger.
But to answer your question...I wouldnt go any smaller than a 20.
