I also used the toothpase method on my sump, and it worked okay (kinda hazy)...if you have a really expensive tank you may want to step it up and do it a little nicer job.

I have a friend who did and it worked fine, but the issue is effectiveness.....according to stats the ebay one was 93% clear, and and expensive one (air warter, ice typhoon) was 99% clear.

I built a Media Center edition PC for a professor of mine instead of a TiVo, and that worked Really nice. And it's more fuctional than just a Tivo....but about $900 for a good one

I go hood free in the summer because of heat...

I go hood free in the summer because of heat issues, but in the winter I put the hood on because it looks much better
