3-5 polyps a day would be possible on a very large colony. But doubtful on frag size. They all reproduce at different rates.

Its a 50 gallon Oceanic Octagon. 1" stand pipe....

Its a 50 gallon Oceanic Octagon. 1" stand pipe. With 4 foot of head and with the sqwd I still have it throttled back about 25%. Should have used an 1 1/4".:(

Ive run a Mag 9.5 on the same sqwd for over 3...

Ive run a Mag 9.5 on the same sqwd for over 3 years and have never had a problem with it other than a little loss of flow. A mag 7 would be perfect.

How long have you had him? Are there any signs of spots on his pectoral fins or any of the other fish? It would be wise to prepare a hospital tank if you wanna save him and read up on saltwater...

I got my se 12k reeflux from Rod and love it. Not quite as blue as my de phoenix 14k but just a hint of blue. Great for my frag tank.

Melev has some good info on his site. One idea involves placing a media bag on the end of your syphon hose and just syphoning right into your sump. I would think this would clear up the visible ones...
