You need to use a gate valve instead of a ball...
You need to use a gate valve instead of a ball valve as they adjust much finer and tee on the drain to your skimmer regardless of how big the pump is to fine tune the water level in the skimmer...

Seriously I just ordered a custom stand for a tank I'm doing with the big ole skimmer and they have a neat way they do their stands. They use the rhino liner...

Me too. Only reason is I sell oceanic tanks that have a 15yr warranty if used w/ their stands which aren't made half as solid as this one looks. I agree on the metal braces, they need to be painted...
