I wouldn't even consider the Nova Extreme, if you go with T5's you need to find something that has individual reflectors like the Tek unit.

Yup, 2's are great in a 40g breeder. I'm running 2 right now in the top corners, along with 1 moded maxi that pushes flow behind my wall of live rock. I also have a mag 5 for my sump/refug return.

When I had my 29 going, I had 2 Koralia 2's in the top corners, and 2 Maxijet 1200's on the bottom (BB tank) plus the return from the mag 5.

Worked well for me.

Don't know if this helps, but once placed in the tank it hasn't moved an inch. It accepts silversides from day one and hasn't spit one out yet (like my old BTA used to every once an a while)

It's about 8-10" fully open, foot is roughly 5-6" and tan in color.

Pics kinda washed it out, this thing is bright purple with green/pink tips.

I would suggest upgrading the light though, as the Nova fixtures are pretty much junk and not so good for anemones and higher light demanding corals...

I'd even be down for it to just be the 2x4 frame, with a plywood floor on the top and bottom for the tank and sump. Dunno how much those side and front skins would save me, but I think it'd look fine...

I can order an allglass pine stand at cost, but that's still over $100 and not a great stand IMO. Materials for a DIY seem to be around $30-40 or so for a simple similar type...
