If it's got a black spine, it's not a dussumer.
In Hawaiian, "Palani" is the word for Acanthurus dussumieri - whoever's using that...

It's acuminatus. If you count the dorsal fin spines, you'll see it has 7 spines behind the streamer vs 8 for diphreutes. The nose and anal fins also look longer in your photos than diphreutes.
