I will be running a GFCI as soon as I get the new wiring finished. I wished it had already been on there. The heater was a really old one I had in a FW tank I took down it didn't have a label.

I wonder if replacing the ballast with an icecap rated for the same watts would work? More than likely the reason the one I have is shutting off is the ballast. I would think anyway.
