I'll just use an elivated 5-10 gal reservoir beside the tank inside of a cabinet or something....

Yup, the reservoir should be full at all times due to the float valve and it is fed by the bladder tank.

I'm thinking that the 'weak link' is at the sump and it may be best to have a high point...
