Vodka can give the nitrating bacteria energy to work so your nitrates will drop more quickly. It has its side effects aswell like lowering O2 content.

No I would say keep the frags! I would QT frags aswell.
If you use lemon juice, keep an eye on your pH. Dispite having a tank full of agonite, it took my tank a couple of days to build itself back...

I had some aspista under a mushroom coral and shot them with lemon juice - my mushroom got burnt aswell and didnt look good for a week! aspista never came back! I'd use a needled syringe next time!

Lights seem hard to get around my area at 5100K but I've seen a good few on eBay for SAD suffers.
Those bulbs seem to be ~6400K - is this good for growing chaeto and phyto?

Depends how long it been in there! You need to change it every 3months or so because it will become exausted. Its good IMO to run carbon.

YEs i read when looking up sand that fine sand can have a DSB effect at alot shallower a depth. This makes sense as flow would decrease more rapidly to deeper levels when grain size gets smaller.
