My understanding is you can't. It's the same with DX10. DX10 makes games and drivers run like crap, and there is no way to remove it.

Most likely the clam knocked itself off the rock. And my guess would be that the crab wasn't eating the clam, but something off the shell. Put the clam back where it was, or turn it right side up...
