great choice... i have a CPR overflow on my 75gallon that loves to create an airbubble, that causes the siphon to stop, and thus causes an overflow.... especialy when i seem to have to go out of town.

Question which powerhead would you choose

ok, i have to pick between:

1. Top Fin 150
2. Penguin 1140

which would be better, just using for some extra flow in the tank.

I think im leaning toward the penguin

buy them, and then sell the other 3 strips you may or maynot use. at like $12 a pop, that would be a great deal to anyone looking for lunar lights

mine have been running 24 hrs a day 7 days a week for the last 3 yrs.

they draw such little power that for me it was easier to plug them in and forget.

thats just me though

have you tried cleaning your pump? my skimmer stops working at peak level when I havent cleaned the pump. after a good clean though, its back to like new..... worth a try

stay away from CPR... i have one and have had 3 floods. Mine is famous for traping an air bubble, and causing an overflow.... its a nice overflow because it is a coninuous chamber versus a big tube...

Mr Squid, i do like the moon lights, but the look that the blue lights gives is really a major diffrence in the "cool" factor... My buddy has the blues, and his corals just give of a cooler looking...

Question moon lights

first post here.....

I have an Orbit compact light fixture with the built in moon LED lights... they are white.

is it possible to change them to a deep blue LED, if so how hard?
