Honestly I think the t5s probably give more fluorescence than the PC, but not as much as the UVL VHO actinics I used to run. The t5s seem to be an odd spectrum, such that certain greens fluoresce...

hmm...I used to have VHOs and these don't live up to them, or royal blue LEDs for color. These remind me of the old PC actinics that werent very popular.
With the number of different t5 brands...

Don't have any photos, but I've done the same thing. I have a 200 gal rubbermaid stock tank setup in my basement as a sump/frag tank. It contains a sandbed ~8-10" deep with silica for lower layers...

Kind of crazy, but I bet I have at least 10 in my 29g tank. When I drop pellets in little tentacles poke out all over the place and they sneak out and grab them, then shoot back into holes.
