I agree, with water changes u get rid of the bad along with some good. keep up on routine water changes i do 8% weekly. in getting rid of the nitrates all of your beneficial bacteria left as well....

if u r using a strong light such as mh all coral needs to be acclimated to your particular light. start the specimen at the bottom of your tank ,after 2 weeks( my prefered time) move the coral up...
