Like kingfisher mentions, once it attaches I would probably still leave it there for another week just to make sure it is fully attached so that it doesn't blow away when you move it.

For the most part yumas like less light then floridias, there are exceptions though.

It also depends on how well established the mushrooms are and how big/healthy they are to determine your success. And it's kinda harder to keep track of like 8 pieces when you cut it anyways.

The most I have cut a Discosoma was 4 pieces and they survived, it was a purple one. I've cut ricordea's (floridia and yuma) in half and had them survive.

Yes Ricordea floridia can have multiple mouths. It's usually a sign of splitting but sometimes it will stall and just stay like that for months. I've heard of ric's that had 8 mouths.
