I also have LOTS of worms - they haven't bothered any corals or fish, but as soon as I feed the fish they crawl out from everywhere! Bright lights or not, they don't seem to care. Lots of long ones...

No I don't think it's peppermint shrimp - they don't have legs - just tails. Swim like polywags/tadpoles.

I have LOTS of them in my 60 gallon tank. Small ones, medium ones, and few I've seen are 6-8"+. EEEEWWWW! They come out from the rock everywhere at feeding time.

I got the Nova Extreme T5, 4x54, 48", about a month ago from FS and love it! You can hear the fan, but it's a steady hum and not distracting - and my tank is in our family room where we always are.

Had the same problem when I switched from pc lighting to T5's. I greatly reduced the lighting period to 4-5 hours a day, continued the weekly water changes, and the algae outbreak is cleared up...

I don't believe that's it. It's only on the sandbed - nothing else. Looks more like a cyano outbreak. Will recheck the phosphate levels.
