ya that's a great idea, i made almost the identical things for a phosban reactor, ( a little filter pad on the top to stop it from escaping) and it works like a charm....next project calcium reactor!...

perhaps there are salinity or alkalinity parameters that can be adjusted.....

....freak accident, the LR had been in their for 5 years when the previous owner had it.....i just added another 10 lbs to the already 90lbs.....two weeks later.......sounded like a shotgun went off...

well to make a long story short......all the fish from my 80 gallon tank are in tupperware containers and the shattered 48x16x24 glass tank is going to the bin.....I only thank god that i was home...

the older model does not allow the top to be openned....i believe that if the top says "in" and "out" on the plumbing leads then it can be openned......if not you are kind of SOL ..also you should...
