You may wish to consider making a heat exchanger...

You may wish to consider making a heat exchanger that you could attach to a baseboard heating furnace. Run the hot water from the furnace through a submerged length of titanium tubing. Just a thought!

May I ask why you wouldn't just order a solid piece of PVC? THere are plenty of places you can order PVC rod stock.

Just a note on driving LED's, they are best driven with a constant current. The constant current significantly reduces color and brightness differences due to forward voltage variation of each LED....

it's not all that loud, it's just the sound of the pump cavitating all the time. My reactor is hung on the wall next to my tank in my living room...so I don't really like having to listen to the pump...

The safest way would be to have a common sump with individual return pumps. You won't have to worry about overflowing one tank with the other trying to pump water back and forth.
