i have one on my 30 gallon tank... it skims...
i have one on my 30 gallon tank... it skims pretty consistently... you just have to make sure that you give the feed pump a constant water level as the skimmer is quite sensitive to changing...

i run a very low maintenance 30 gallon reef tank... i can post some picture if you want... i think the key to a low maintenance aquarium is a refugium with macro algae, and a rather over sized...

the kelvin rating is also used in photography... if you have the theoretical black body, if you heat it up, it will start glowing... when it's heat up to around 3000kelvin, it will glow...

this is my topless 30 gallon cube with a 5.5 gallon sump... estimated water volume including skimmer is ~31 gallons... with a 150w metal halide light, the evaporation rate is about half a gallon...
