I've used it for years to treat my tap water...
I've used it for years to treat my tap water before I got a ro/di unit. I had no problems keeping the easy corals like hammers and zoas.

I think it depends on the fish. My rubrisquamis will swim around my hand and the luteovittatus will hide in the rocks. Both are in the same tank and the luteovittatus is the bigger fish.

I think I have the same as you. They get to about 4 inches and then split. A few times they went up to 5 inches. Mines don't seem to pack much of a sting, as there are hard and soft corals growing...
