Nothing is fed to the tank except for light and fishfood.
The green carpets are blackholes for fish that get too close, but the fish have been there for a long time.

I had a number of these last winter.
They look like small anemones to me and perhaps the outcome of spawnings in my tank. (They where less than an inch).
