I have a 150w MH over my 12 and it stays right at 80 degrees. It also has a 15 gallon sump that helps a bit with dissipating the heat, but I don't think the 70w would be too much of a problem.

It's possible you may see a "mini cycle" depending on what was stirred up. I'd keep an eye out for ammonia and nitrites. If they appear, the only thing you can really do is try to keep them in check...
