Pieces of my halimeda do this all the time. Just leave them, they'll eventually break down into some of the whitest reef sand you've ever seen.

If the entire colony has bleached, then perhaps...

Chaeto holds quite a bit of grunge, doesn't it? I rinse mine, I don't even bother with the net (but I usually only rinse half at a time).

I know (and I have done) some people rinse it under plain...

Looks like you've got a few different varieties of caulerpa on the rock. Caulerpa is notorious for being very invasive. Some people like it, but I would recommend removing it from the display.

Halimeda is relatively easy to remove. Just pull it out. It grows relatively slowly, so you should be able to get it easily.

Caulerpa, on the other hand, is a difficult one to remove. Manual...

Just make sure your calcium levels are okay, since halimeda needs calcium to grow. If you keep corals and dose supplements or kalk, that's fine. If you don't have any calcium-using corals, regular...

Chaeto prefers some flow, plus cyano likes low flow. Try putting a powerhead in that area to create some water movement. That will probably solve your problem.

In that small of a space, you wouldn't get much benefit from it. Mainly it would act as a bubble trap. Not that you couldn't do it, but it might not be worth the trouble.

It's hit or miss. Caulerpa is not tasty. Even if you find something that will eat it, it will be the last resort. It will eat all other macroalgae first. In my experience, the only method to get...

Since you didn't mention any white spots, I doubt it's ich. It could be Brooklynella which is specific to clowns. Is there a lot of mucus or slime present? Unfortunately it's not as easy to treat....

it's some sort of encrusting sponge. I have some on one of my powerheads. It's pretty much harmless, unless it is trying to cover something you like.

That setup would need to be above the water level in the display, otherwise you'll siphon water out of the display, possibly flooding.

Something might have triggered the caulerpa going sexual. Keep a close eye on all of your caulerpa. If it turns yellow/white, pull it out. It can cause a nasty crash in your tank. This is one of...

Don't grill/bake them if they're not 100% completely dry. Any moisture inside will turn to steam and the rocks will explode.

I wouldn't worry after what you've already done.

Mine is similar, the new growth is always brighter than the older stuff. I occassionally "fluff" up the ball and mix it around so the greener stuff gets some light too.

Make sure you're not overloading that circuit. I'm reminded of the christmas tree scene in "A Christmas Story." You don't want to blow the breaker and have the tank crash.

Sounds like grape caulerpa. Not necessarily bad, if you confine it to the refugium and use it for nutrient export, but IMO the chaetomorpha is better.

If you want to get rid of the caulerpa,...

If it is caulerpa as a few of us suspect, most fish won't go near it, especially if there are other more tasty options. Manual removal works best.
