I prefer Maroons. I have a pair of GB Maroons and they are active together. When the female was by herserlf, she was less active.
She was also less aggressive by herself untill they were paired up.

An AquaClear 201 or 301 would be enough. The 201 on high should provide enough movement. I used one in a 10gal once and it moved the top of the water and provided movement all around.
