Tunze wavebox with magnets

Bought this new 6 months ago from Premium Aquatics. Comes with the controller, both sets of magnets, and the light sensor. Cleaned with vinegar after I removed it from my tank.

Check your phosphate levels, the algae is eating something if it is growing and spreading. you may want to add a phosban reactor to help combat the issue.

Is your sump already in the water ? Is the problem that the water flows into the fuge area by going under a baffle ? Could you add another baffle to force the water back up ?

Your tank needs to cycle, 1 week is not long enough to wait. Get a testkit so you can test water patameters, ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites for now.

I would not dump my skimmate into the tank...

Next time you do a water change, try and suck up all the debris you can from any "dirty" areas. I would also suggest doing a 5 gal water change since you might have lost a fish.

I didn't buy any pump, I put a TEE in my return pump line and used the included valve that came with my TLF reactor to slow the flow to the speed I need.
