bulk head flow

i have and 1.5" bulk head as a return and a eheim 700p/h pump it seems the only way to get this system to run is to dial down the return pump to under or about 1/2 way does this sound right to you...

by the way I'am not trying to use the kalk mix to replace my top off unit i would still use this as well so I don't have to try and match the evp rate or if i wasn't around to restock the kalk water...

thanks for all the ideas guys I'am thinking i'll build a 2 gallon drip to start. once i add the kalk can i just give it a 10 sec blast with a power head and then it's good untill the drum is empty?...

i've had it for about 3mths from what i've read they love high light it gets feed aleast 3x a week with the rest of the corals i'am feeding the shrimp more for the fish then corals I'am thinking...

the new probe is a milwaukee ma921b/2 the unit is a american marine the unit started climbing up in readings over a week or so so i tried to recal but i could only get it to sit a 4 and 5.53...

the ball valve i'am talking about is the same ones that are used under sinks and to shut off the toilets but the brand (dahl) has a metal handle and a better cartage comparied to the cheap plastic...

do you ever flush/backwash your system i find mine slows down if i don't do this once a week for 10min or so also the saddle valave uses a very small hole you should install a mini ball valve (r19)...

the nylon is just the seal or washer around the ball i would switch this out asap befor to much copper leaches in to the system always use pvc and it's cheaper
