i was alwyas told tha they arnt as colourful at the base, because this part only gets deflected light, so doesnt have the need for so much uv protection compared to the tops.

perhaps its not...

sorry i meant the picture that i posted, as it looks like it is taken in the dark with a flash, which dampens colours especially purples and blues. just thought this could have happened...

No i think the 6200 is a bigger unit, but not sure about that. And havent heard/seen anything about a upgrade from a 600/6100 to the 6200.

A way to find out would be to ask someone who has a 6200...
