Eventually the seal and/or temp control will unseal or get stuck, and boom, dead heater.

Those pods in a bottle, chaeto, live sand sell like hotcakes. Most of the companies that make them are always sold out LOL.

If you put the sand in your tank first, then cover it with say plastic bags and put plates on top to hold them down and pour the water onto the plates, you wont get any major cloudiness.

Be sure to use seperate equipment for your quarantine and keep them away from your main tanks stuff, such as siphons, nets, towls, basters, etc just in case something in the quarantine has a disease...
