Filmtec membranes are spec'ed at 77 degrees, 50 psi, and 250 ppm feedwater. Other brands are similar, except they are spec'ed at 60 or 65 psi.
50 to 65 PSI however won't give you the best...

To calculate the rejection rate of your membrane - compare the tds in the permeate (3 ppm) to the tds in the feedwater (tap water). You want to see something close to what the membrane manufacturer...

So you got about 5 months from the DI cartridge - that's not necessarily unusual, depending upon the tds of your RO water and how much DI water you make.
