I may be wrong on this but, if you are running 432watts of T5, I don't think you'll have any problems.
Unfortunately I'm no expert, but I still think that should be bright enough.

what ever tang you add will have to be very small...
what ever tang you add will have to be very small as the pwdr bl, and yellow grow to around 10 inches a kole would probably be ok, but I'm sure someone else may, or would have a different opinion.

if you don't want it to grow back in the same...
if you don't want it to grow back in the same spot after you cut it use a brush and scrub the spot clean, if nothing is left it should not grow back.
