well i can tell you right now that they work w/ 250w Ushio 10k's. We've been running Ushio's for over 2 years now w/o any problems w/ lack of bulb life or anything of the sort.

Have you thought about adding in a beckett injection into your standpipe? If you have enough flow through your overflow, it might be able to add in some bubbles for the fall down and make it more...

you need to put in a very little amount of water, so i've been told. Right now we replaced the old feed pump w/ a maxijet powerhead so we should be running 200-300gph right now.

Here she is. Custom built for my by Reefalot here in houston. Uses 2 Sedra 5000 recirc pumps with needle wheel impellers.

so essentially, the aiir is coming from the drop of the water over the overflow and is collected in the box and the bubbles rise in the skimming chamber. Neat. Good economical idea.

A lot of the becket injections are using a recirculating pump (mid you not a needle wheel, just a big iwaki) w/ a venturi style injection.
