RAW is good for much, much more than playing with...

RAW is good for much, much more than playing with colors and such. It allows you to correct the white balance and exposure after the fact. A much wider margin of error involved VS. JPEG.

GHO, you're forgetting about shutter lag. Focusing and then getting a digicam to actually take the pic before the fish moves is an exercise in frustration.

I agree about the ISO though. ;)

So you need stop down considerably when shooting...

1D is an excellent camera... every DSLR is old within a year anyway. Sweet setup you got there. I just got my new 70-200/4L in the mail today. :)
